In New Jersey and throughout the nation, curbside recycling is an important service provided to the residential, commercial, institutional and industrial sectors. In fact, New Jersey was the first State in the Country to require "mandatory recycling" dating back to 1987 where no one is exempt — each and every household, business, government building, non-profit organization and industrial company is required by law to recycle.
BS3
BS3 operates a state-of-the-art recycling facility with the capacity to process up to 1,000 tons of recyclable material per day. The facility receives and processes curbside recycling collected from municipalities, businesses, and residential programs throughout the region.
Designed to efficiently process recyclables collected through both single-stream and dual-stream programs, BS3 accepts a broad range of materials, including paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, and metal containers. Using advanced sorting technology, state-of-the-art optical sorters, and rigorous quality control processes, the facility efficiently separates and prepares these materials for recovery, helping maximize recycling rates and reduce landfill disposal.
BS3's advanced optical sorting technology can identify and separate materials with exceptional precision, allowing the facility to quickly adapt to changes in consumer packaging, emerging materials, and evolving market demands. This flexibility helps ensure that valuable recyclable materials continue to be recovered effectively as products and packaging evolve over time.

BRR
As an affiliated company of BS3, BRR specializes in processing paper and fiber-based materials to maximize recovery and landfill diversion. Through advanced sorting and processing systems, BRR recovers a wide range of recyclable fiber products, including cardboard, corrugated containers, office paper, newspapers, mixed paper, and boxboard. These materials are sorted, processed, and prepared for sale to end markets, ensuring that valuable resources remain in circulation and out of landfills.
BRR's highly advanced processing technology and rigorous quality control systems consistently produce materials that meet the demanding specifications of domestic manufacturers and paper mills. This capability reduces — and in many cases eliminates — dependence on overseas markets, strengthening local recycling infrastructure and helping keep recovered materials within the domestic economy.
Together, BS3 and BRR have the capacity to process up to 1,000 tons per day (TPD) of Class A recyclable materials, supporting a more sustainable and circular economy.
Bayshore operates a fleet of rolling stock equipment consisting of roll off containers, van trailers and walking floor trailers as well as installing balers and compactors.
Utilizing the Latest Technology
Bayshore Single Stream Solution's state of the art Material Recovery Facility utilizes the latest in sorting technologies. Our automated optical sorters identify material based on molecular structure as opposed to traditional scanners that rely on the size, shape and color of the material. A key benefit of this system is the ability to recover target materials from a huge variety of ever changing package and container styles as well as not needing to re-train the system when new package designs find their way into the marketplace.
By utilizing five of these optical sorters, we are able to maximize recovery of recyclable material with industry leading speed and efficiency, keeping these valuable resources out of landfills and ensuring they are recycled properly.
